Favorite Pins | The Better Mom

It seems as if I learn something new about Pinterest every day. It's turned into my newest addiction. (Just ask my family!) 

One cool thing I discovered is groups using Pinterest as a community bulletin board. Members of a group work as contributors to post items on a board. And then other members--any readers!--can comment on the pins and open up a conversation. 

Here is a board I created for The Better Mom. 

Here is the description--which is our invitation to readers/new friends! 

Imagine us gathered around a cafe table with mugs of coffee or tea. We're sharing life and learning together--isn't that what a becoming a better mom is all about? This board is a place to pin (and chat about) things that matter...or maybe just things that make us laugh or sit up and say, "Cool!" So pull up a chair and enjoy. We're eager to see (and hear) what's important to you!

I love the idea of "resetting." If things aren't going great that day we don't have to just deal with it until the next day.

I love this. Some other things that help with bed time is to set a routine. This was ours when my kids were small: All TV and computers off, or toys put away. Snack. Drink. Go to the bathroom. PJs. Brush Teeth. Story time with Mommy and Daddy. Prayer time. Tuck in. They loved the order and we did too!

I love the idea of building family relationships. We read books together, played board games, traveled. My older kids are 22, 19, and 17 and great friends! One of our favorite memories is when we traveled together for my kids' sports. They were in a homeschool basketball league in rural Montana and we'd have to travel 3-4 hours for games. FUN road trips! Now that my oldest is married we still skype with him and his wife (and son) once a week.
