It's hard to find good books for boys, but as soon as I showed my teenage son Jon's books he was excited to read them. Jon understands the comic book world--it's a passion for him--so he's able to connect with boys on a level that most authors can't. If you have a boy who doesn't like to read, check out Jon's books. I think they'll pique their interest!

Every time I talk to Rosslyn I feel as if I've found a kindred soul. I LOVE how she's taken the true stories of the Hanby Family and wove them into fiction. I get excited about her stories because I can see how passionate she is about this family and her research. She's also a fantastic writer. Check out this first line from Sweeter than Birdsong: "Her customary walk across the college quadrangle had become an executioner's march. " How could you put the book down after reading that?
Be sure to check out Rosslyn's blog http://www.inkhornblue.blogspot.com/ and follow her on Twitter @RosslynElliott
Congratulations to Maxie who won a copy of Jon's book Alienation and Lane Hill House who won a copy of Rosslyn's book Sweeter Than Birdsong. Please e-mail your addresses to my assistant Christen (ckrumm@litfusegroup.com).
Thanks for listening!
